Son Goku's archenemy, the FORMER prince, now the King of all Saiyans (isn't that the way it works?). One of the deepest characters in the entire Dragon Ball series, and one of the least explored as far as emotion. Vegeta was initially a character I hated, and then I grew to love his character and understand his sense of unwavering pride.
Vegeta is one of my all time favorite "bad guys turned good", and this is my tribute to him.
I decided to include some serious symbolism in this with the colors and brush stroke placements. Vegeta has a huge history of heinous acts that he is evidently ashamed of, as said in his confession to Son Goku at his first death. As he matured however he was able to embrace a new life, but really couldn't ever wash away that innocent blood from his hands.
The style of this is done in a Arian Noveir-esque Digital Watercolor Style. I was amazed with his watercolor Super Heroes series, so I decided to do a series of my own; one that features the heroes and iconic characters from the anime world that made up my childhood.
